Final Rule Updates in the MIPS 2024 Reporting Program
As in previous years, several policy updates were introduced to the MIPS program. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) released the Final Rule on November 1st, 2023. Our MIPS experts have outlined a summary of these updates to help you stay informed and compliant.
MIPS Value Pathways (MVPs)
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) introduced MIPS Value Pathways (MVPs), making them a mandatory reporting framework starting with the 2023 performance year.
For the performance years 2023, 2024, and 2025, individual clinicians, single specialty groups, multispecialty groups, subgroups, and APM entities are required to report using MVPs.
Beginning in 2026 and beyond, reporting MVPs will be available for individual clinicians, single specialty groups, subgroups, and APM entities only.
