The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has opened the MIPS 2022 performance year data submission period deadline. All the eligible MIPS clinicians who have participated in MIPS reporting 2022 can submit and update data until March 31, 2023.

What Is the Penalty If you Do Not Meet Miss the MIPS 2022 Submission Deadline? 

If the physicians get failed to meet the given deadline then that would mean you will get a negative payment adjustment of -9% in the year 2024. The performance threshold is now 75 points. That means you must score 75 points to avoid a penalty. If you cannot meet or exceed this threshold, this means you can decrease your penalty by scoring as close to 75 points as possible in QPP MIPS scoring.

• Go to The Quality Payment Program Sign-in Page 
• Sign in by using your QPP credentials 
• Submit your MIPS reporting performance year data and then review the whole set of data reported on your behalf by a third party. *The errors can’t be removed after the submission period, so make sure you have submitted the data on your behalf and accurately before the deadline.
